"How I Connect" Video Shoot
Posted by Kristy-Lee

“I love it when I walk into church on Sunday and I know people and they are happy to see me. Those people are my Summit Connect group…my friends.” –Jenny
“I used to be an island, trying to do everything on my own and take what I heard on Sunday and live it out alone. I couldn’t do it. It wasn’t until I joined a Connect group that I was able to take what I heard on Sunday and really apply it to my life.” –Jon
How do you connect?
That’s what we asked three of our Summit attendees on Tuesday morning. Jenny, Christina, and Jon shared with us and Blue Wagon Studios what life is like in a Summit Connect group during one of the coolest video shoots ever.
Surrounded by tons of vintage light bulbs and a camera crew, these Summit Connect group members opened up about their life in a Connect group. Stories about transformation, healing, and acceptance were told—along with a little talk about long- standing *NSYNC obsessions, chocolate chip cookies, past hair model jobs, and Kermit the Frog impersonations (of which Jon is an expert). Hey, it couldn’t be all seriousness at an eight-hour video shoot!
In September we will be sharing with you in Sunday services what they said, and sharing other Summit Connect participants’ stories on our website. September is going to be an exciting month for Summit Connect—this video shoot was only the beginning!
