As believers, understanding the difference between our fundamental and secondary identities is crucial. How would you answer the question “Who are you?”
What does it mean to you to have your life “hidden with Christ”? Would you say it is your fundamental identity?
Sin prevents us from recognizing God’s truth and the reality of our spiritual condition. We often fall into the trap of measuring ourselves against ideas other than God’s truth. What are some of the standards you’ve been measuring yourself against?
Baptism is a mark of our identity in Christ. We can look back on it as a reminder of who we are. If you’ve been baptized, how has this outward symbol helped solidify the reality of your true identity?
If you have trusted Christ with your life, but haven’t been baptized, what is stopping you?
