Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida is a private, non-profit organization that collects, stores and distributes donated food to more than 450 non-profit partner agencies in six Central Florida counties in an effort to fight hunger.

Habitat for Humanity – Orlando ReStore addresses this problem by providing quality building materials at lower prices. ReStore proceeds go to help Habitat Orlando fulfill its mission.

OrlandoMap ItA Gift for Teaching

Through A Gift for Teaching, local businesses are able to donate unused supplies or surplus merchandise to the Free Store for teachers. Then teachers from Central Florida’s highest-need schools can “shop” for free, making sure the 142,000 students in our community have what they need to learn.

Projects include stocking merchandise, parking help, and being a check-out clerk.

Services include emergency material (food, clothing, etc.) assistance, Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance, Good Neighbor Energy Funds, nursing home and hospital visitation, Bridging The Gap (program for teens at risk) counseling and referrals.

The Sharing Center works to prevent homelessness in Seminole County by assisting low-income families with basic needs during financial emergencies caused by job loss and health problems.
