For those of you engaging with this church community in the process of praying, getting educated, and going, we would like to ask you to get involved in making a long term systemic difference in Africa. The purpose of this section is to allow you to see some of the ways that you can get involved.
Child Sponsorship
COTN makes long-term investments in the lives of orphaned and destitute children. When you sponsor a child, you give them access to resources that will allow them to grow up to be agents of positive change in the country.
If you already sponsor a child in Malawi, you have the opportunity to send them a gift with the July Team (letters, photographs, etc.). Please Email Us if you are interested.
Internships
COTN offers significant internships that will allow you a chance to spend a lot of focused time in ministry. If you have worked with COTN and would like to go back, it might be a great idea to look at doing an internship.
Give Financially
One of the great things we as a community and individuals can do in partnering for change in Africa is to financially support our key ministry partners. Because COTN and International Justice Mission work with meeting desperate needs, they will never be revenue-generating ministries. While they work very hard to build profitable systems in their community, they still need us to invest in building those systems, thereby adding to their long-term sustainability.
Volunteer Locally with COTN
With a local COTN office here in town, there is a lot we can do to support this ministry through local volunteer efforts in the office and community.
Smile Packs
COTN uses over four thousand smile packs a year which teach children proper hygiene, and provide them with clothing and school supplies. A smile pack is basically a large ziplock bag filled with the listed supplies for the type of pack you are making.
The Future
We will always be looking for the very best ways to significantly unite with our ministry partners in working to stop AIDS in Africa. Over time, this page will develop into an expansive tool for long-term engagement in the mission. Please email missions@summitconnect.org if you would like to be notified when this section is updated.
