The leadership structure is designed to support the vision and values of Summit and to support the staff in leading the church according to the example of Scripture.
Senior Governance Team

This is the final decision making body of the church and is composed of the pastoral staff and a majority of lay ministers (two of whom are part of the ministry and operations teams). The Senior Governance Team ensures the mission, vision, and doctrine of Summit is upheld. If necessary, they select the Senior Pastor of the church. Additionally, they provide governance over the financial and legal matters of the church. Specifically, they are responsible for budget approval, internal controls, and asset protection. They provide independent review, ensuring the accuracy, of all financial records.
Ministry Team

Serves with the Executive Pastor to review quantitative and qualitative ministry goals for the church. They are responsible to help decide where Summit Church gives 15% of its budget, which is allocated to meet needs outside of the church.
Operations Team

Is a support team that advises the Strategy Team in areas of finance, facilities, human resources, and IT functions of the church. They also make recommendations directly to the Senior Governance Team on cash management, budget, and asset controls and provide an independent review of all accounting records.

The strategy team is made up of senior staff members and is responsible to lead the church and the various ministries according to the pattern in the Scriptures. Strategy Team members include Isaac Hunter, Jeff Kern, John Parker, and Andy Simonds.
