Lent
Passivity is not patience. We are a work in progress. The creation itself is a work in progress. We cannot hide in passivity, fearful and fleeing from a victory already achieved. Christ has come. The battle is won. But there is a creation that cries out for our help from every hidden corner—a creation we are called to fight for. We are image-bearers, vehicles of grace through which God chooses to bring about newness to Earth, as is his good pleasure. We do not bear an image of One who hides. We bear an image of One who wins. What if the only insurmountable obstacle we face is our fear of letting God fight, through us, the battle for which he has already claimed victory?
Lent is a 6-week series in which we journey with the Israelites from slavery to the Passover.
