Unveiled - Jesus in Revelation
In every age, there are little “gods” that war for our devotion. But if the scriptures are true, Jesus is Lord over every age—He is powerful, just, and gracious. He deserves our ultimate affection.
This side of Heaven, the Jesus we know is always smaller than the Jesus who knows us… “Oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! Who has known the mind of the Lord?” There is a rich mystery to the vastness of Jesus’ reign— but rather than get lost in this mystery, we are found in it. Revelation shows us more than the sinless man, triumphant on a cross. It shows the divine Son of Man who rules over all creation, even as He allowed it to kill him.
