This summer, rising freshmen through graduating seniors will have the opportunity to join in Summit's ongoing partnership with Children of the Nations firsthand by connecting with children and teenagers in the villages surrounding the city of Barahona in the Dominican Republic. They will have the opportunity to come alongside local COTN staffers as they seek to end the cycle of poverty and give children a chance to become the future leaders of their country. COTN is active in some of the poorest villages in the DR providing medical attention, tutoring, youth events, leadership development, and biblical training for children involved in COTN's Village Partnership Programs. Team members will gain a better understanding of long-term poverty alleviation, and how to best partner with and support the organizations who are investing long-term in the DR. This experience is intended to deepen your student's relationship with God and transform their view of themselves, the world, and their place in it.
