Habitat Greater Orlando has a very special volunteer project coming up at the end of February. We will be receiving donations from trade shows at the Orange County Convention Center at the end of February and are in need of volunteers! We are still in need of volunteers on February 14th, February 25th, and 26th.
This is a large event and we will need a lot of volunteer support. Trade Shows are a great source of materials and funding for our organization. The items donated by the show will be used in the construction of our homes and sold in our ReStores. The funds raised at the ReStores help to ensure the success of our mission.
Volunteers will confirm donations with vendors, gather donations, palletize and wrap donations, and also move donations to the loading docks. This event requires a lot of walking, standing, and lifting. Both individuals and groups are welcome.
A few key items regarding this volunteer opportunity.
- All volunteers must be 18 years or older
- Lunch, snacks, and plenty of water will be provided
- We will be offering two volunteer shifts on Saturday and Sunday, but it will be a minimum of a 6 hour volunteer project.
