We’re glad you’re here!
Riverside Neighborhood Church is a new type of expression of Summit. As our traditional large locations served their communities well, there was still the opportunity to meet people where they are, literally in their neighborhoods. What if we were able to bring church to people instead of bringing people to church? After Lead Pastor John Parker laid out this idea, Doug and Naomi Foley responded with what this could look like in their neighborhood of Lockhart. This neighborhood church began as a house church and Bible study and has unfolded into something pretty special. Since 2019, they have continued to invite friends and neighbors into this new Summit community borne out of the desire to serve their neighborhood and local school.

What should I expect?
Riverside Neighborhood Church follows the same teaching calendar as the other Summit locations. While we typically hear from Riverside Minister Doug Foley, we do occasionally also get the unique opportunity to hear the same sound, biblical truth from more than one voice. The music you hear will be a mix of updated hymns along with current worship music. Part of the charm of a neighborhood church is that each Sunday service includes opportunities to get to know one another and discuss what we’ve just learned in small groups. Anyone is welcome to join us for part or all of our morning worship experience.
Where do I go?
We meet in the pavilion on the west end of the park, near the big field. We will also have Summit flags out so you won’t miss us!
What do I wear?
Wear whatever feels right for you—while most folks dress casually, we want you to be wear whatever you’re comfortable with especially since we’ll be outdoors!
Ministries
Children’s Ministry
Children’s Ministry
Riverside takes a true community approach to children’s ministry. Children often participate in different portions of the service based on their age and then break off at other points to spread out in the park with volunteers for playtime, stories, or small groups.
